 St. Joseph’s Home provides all of the comforts of home, along with some extra added benefits! Residents can enjoy socializing and activities without the interruption of household chores, lawn care, or building maintenance. Here are some of our amenities:
Our spacious, park-like grounds feature paved paths, mature shade trees, patios, statues, and raised gardens, inviting residents to enjoy the beauty of creation.
A large sunny chapel provides a welcoming place for prayer and reflection. St. Joseph's Home welcomes men and women of any religious preference or practice. Catholic Mass is celebrated at 10 a.m. each day, and the Eucharist is taken to any resident who is unable to come to the chapel, and the other sacraments are offered regularly. Residents who observe other religious traditions are encouraged to invite their pastors to visit and conduct worship or prayer services.
We plan a daily schedule of activities designed to meet our residents’ needs and interests.
St. Joseph's Home contracts with a local pharmacy to fill and deliver prescriptions for all residents. Pharmaceuticals are dispensed by staff nurses according to each doctor’s instructions.
Residents can voice their opinions at our monthly resident council meetings. We respect the input of all of our residents, and this is an important venue for making sure we meet their needs appropriately.
We have a full-service beauty salon open weekdays. For our male residents, a barber visits every six weeks.
Volunteers operate a small gift shop where residents can purchase toiletries and decorative items. If you need other items not available in our gift shop, we can send a personal shopper to fulfill your shopping list.
For those who love to read, a small library of large print books is supplemented by regular visits from the Springfield public library.
