![]() Caring for the whole person
At St. Joseph’s, we care for the whole spectrum of human needs, including physical, social, emotional and spiritual. Our Sisters live on-site, and are on-call at all times, whether you need spiritual guidance, someone to listen, or just want to enjoy the company of friends.
Dementia Care
Our Holy Family Center is an intermediate care facility specializing in caring for men and women with dementia and similar conditions. The Holy Family Center is a secure wing build on the neighborhood model to serve elderly persons with dementia and in danger of elopement.
Sheltered Care and Intermediate Nursing Care
St. Joseph's Home offers two levels of care for elderly persons: Sheltered Care and Intermediate Nursing Care, as defined and licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Our director of nurses evaluates each applicant to determine the appropriate level of care.
Sheltered Care serves individuals who are independent but may need personal assistance at times. Residents in sheltered care are ambulatory (walking or wheelchair) and can eat, dress, and get in and out of a bed or chair on their own.
Intermediate Nursing Care is nursing care for those who need a higher level of health supervision, 24-hour nursing care, and assistance with most personal care activities.
