2015 City OrnamentFeatures the Henson Robinson ZooFor 23 years, St. Joseph’s Home has commissioned local artists to design an ornament for an annual fundraiser known as the Springfield City Ornament series. Professor Thom Whalen has again volunteered his time and talents to design a one-of-a-kind piece featuring a landmark unique to the City of Springfield. St. Joseph’s Home is excited to announce that the 2015 City Ornament honors the Henson Robinson Zoo as it celebrates its 45th anniversary, and spotlights three playful penguins that live at the zoo. Continuing the use of color started by the 2014 Ornament depicting the Pasfield House, this ornament will continue to shepherd in a new era of ornaments for the City of Springfield. Each 24-karat gold-plated ornament comes in a velvet-lined presentation box. Each box, stamped with the official seal of the City of Springfield, contains a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity with a brief historical description of the city landmark or event featured on the ornament. Proceeds for this annual project support the mission and ministries of St. Joseph's Home. Click HERE to order online with a credit card.
