2014 City Ornament Unveiling

The ornament, featuring the Pasfield House Inn, is the first ornament made in color. The unveiling ceremony, which took place Saturday, August 23rd at 5pm, was attended by state and local politicians, Sisters and staff of St. Joseph's Home, members of the Sangamon County Historical Society and our generous supporters. We care for the whole person, believing that all physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs must be met to enhance an individual’s wellbeing and quality of life. Through our programs of sheltered care and intermediate nursing care, we offer a secure and comfortable environment where our staff can attend to these needs on an individual basis.

Our care plan meetings involve the resident, family members, and our staff, so we can incorporate everyone’s input and implement the most appropriate level of care and assistance.

St. Joseph's Home of Springfield has operated under the Sisters' continuous sponsorship and supervision since 1903. Our Catholic, Christian heritage infuses caregiving with peacefulness and a deep awareness of the dignity of each person. We provide care to lessen and alleviate needs and encourage our residents to live as fruitfully as they can.
We also strive to assist each resident in the growth of their relationship to God so that their final years may be enriched and peaceful.
