St. Joseph's Home has always been a shared ministry - shared by the Sisters, residents' families and people in the community with generous hearts.

Wills and trusts
Please contact the administrator or the director of development for information about creating a trust or leaving a bequest to St. Joseph's Home. It is likely that even after you've taken care of your loved ones in your will, there are additional assets under your control that must either be donated to a charity or they will be heavily taxed by the government. With careful planning, you can ensure that those resources will be used to carry out good work that has been a blessing to you and your loved ones, rather than giving control to the government to decide how those non-inheritable assets will be distributed.

Specific donation opportunities
Building fund: Gifts of at least $1,000 toward a new activity center and a more home-like environment for residents with dementia and related conditions will be recognized on the St. Joseph the Builder board on the first floor near the elevator.

Continuing Care Fund
Occasionally, a long-term resident who has been in the Sisters' care for many years outlives both their relatives and their financial resources. Your gift to the Continuing Care Fund will become part of the principle in a designated interest bearing account. The proceeds of this account will be used in special-need circumstances to enable the Sisters to continue providing a home for a long-term resident who has depleted his or her funds and outlived their family.

Forget-Me-Not garden
Honor a loved one with a 4" x 8" or a 12" x 12" brick in the garden.

Honor or memorial gifts
Please consider a contribution to St. Joseph's Home in lieu of flowers or unwanted gifts. Recognize an anniversary, a birthday or special blessing with a gift in support of the Sisters' ministry to the elderly.

One hundred percent of your charitable gift to St. Joseph's Home stays right here in Springfield. It will be used exactly for the purpose you specify - or for the purpose for which it has been requested. None of your donation goes to administrative fees. Your contribution is completely and entirely dedicated to carrying out St. Joseph's Home's ministry of care to the elderly.

St. Joseph's Home subscribes to and upholds the Donor Bill of Rights.
