Description
The 117-foot -tall Lincoln Tomb is constructed of granite quarried at Quincy Massachusetts. Near the entrance is a bronze bust of Lincoln, the work of sculptor Goodson Borglum. Tomb designer Larkin Mead created the bronze military statues and the statue of Lincoln on the terrace. Engraved inside the tomb are the words, “Now he belongs to the ages.”
