2015 Annual Raffle Going On Now
September 20, 2015 3:19 PM | Tagged as raffle

St. Joseph's Home Annual Raffle is going on now.  Don't miss out on the fun and the opportunity to support a great cause!

Proceeds from this year's raffle will help fund a much needed project - the demolition of the "round building" in preparation for the construction of a new activity center that will honor the memory of Sr. Judith Morris.

The new addition will be more than an activity center.  It will be a gathering space for residents, friends and families, and community engagement.  We need your help to ensure the success of this enormous undertaking.

The raffle drawing will be held Friday, November 6, at 9 a.m. in the SJH Holy Family Center family room.  Please join us for donuts and coffee!

1,000 tickets must be purchased for prizes to be awarded.  In the event 1,000 tickets are not purchased, the raffle will revert to a 50/50 cash prize of net proceeds.

It's easy to support this cause.  Click here for a ticket application.  Mail your completed application by November 5 to:

St. Joseph's Home
Attn: Raffle Committee
3306 South Sixth Street Road
Springfield, IL 62703

For additional information or questions, please feel free to contact Terri Hempstead, director of development, at 217-529-5596 or funddev@saintjosephshome.org.

As always, thank you for your support and generosity!

2014 Forget-Me-Not Gala
February 18, 2014 4:27 PM

The 2014 Forget-Me-Not Gala exceeded our expectations!

What a success.  We are so grateful to all those who sponsored, supported and attended this event.  More than $81,000 was raised to help the neediest of St. Joseph's Home residents.

Emcee, Gus Gordon, welcomed guests to an entertaining evening featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, raffles, 50/50 drawing, silent and live auctions, plated dinner and live music by the Three Tenors Orchestra.

This biannual fundraiser has been the cornerstone of our Continuing Care Program (established by Sr. Mary Judith Morris, OSF), providing financial assistance to the neediest of residents.

Sr. Judith ministered at St. Joseph's Home for more than 30 years as bookkeeper, co-administrator, administrator and Holy Family Center supervisor.  A tribute can be viewed from our homepage.

At St. Joseph's Home, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate Conception and a qualified staff are dedicated to serving our residents in a loving, homelike atmosphere.

We care for the whole person, believing that all physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs must be met to enhance an individual’s wellbeing and quality of life. Through our programs of sheltered care and intermediate nursing care, we offer a secure and comfortable environment where our staff can attend to these needs on an individual basis.

We encourage our residents to live as fruitfully and independently as possible with the peace of mind knowing we are here to help when needed. Our care plan meetings involve the resident, family members, and our staff, so we can incorporate everyone’s input and implement the most appropriate level of care and assistance.

St. Joseph's Home welcomes residents regardless of faith, race, color, sex, or national origin
